It has become an annual tradition to mistake the new iPhone for a twin of its predecessor. The iPhone 14 is no exception – but even Eve Jobs hardly notice any differences to the iPhone 13. The daughter of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs even makes fun of the iPhone 14 in public. The price is then a sensible investment.
Eve Jobs on the iPhone 14: no discernible difference
There are voices about almost every new iPhone that point to the lack of differences compared to last year’s model. While the criticism is often limited to external features, things look a little different with the new iPhone 14 – after all, Apple hasn’t even installed its best processor, but simply uses last year’s model in the standard version.
Reason enough for Eve Jobs, the 24-year-old daughter of former Apple boss Steve Jobs, to publicly poke fun at the iPhone 14. “This is me switching from iPhone 13 to iPhone 14,” she writes on Instagram and also has the right meme ready (source: Business Insider). Here is an elderly gentleman who appears to have just been given a new shirt. It’s the exact same shirt he’s already wearing.
Of course, everyone can decide for themselves whether an upgrade from the iPhone 13 to the iPhone 14 is worthwhile. There have been no changes on the outside, the case of the predecessor can theoretically be used in the successor without any problems.
Inside the cell phone, however, Apple has made a few innovations, apart from the processor. A slightly improved selfie camera and main camera are now part of the game, which are supposed to create more than usable photos in difficult lighting conditions.
iPhone 14: satellite emergency call as a novelty
For the first time, the iPhone 14 can make a satellite emergency call in the US and Canada in the event of emergencies in areas without sufficient network coverage. Crash detection is also included, with which rescue services are automatically informed.
