Elon Musk has stated that he is’still committed’ to purchasing Twitter.

Elon Musk said he was still committed to completing his plan to buy Twitter a few hours after announcing its suspension.

In a message posted on Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk stated that he is “still committed” to purchasing Twitter. While the first doubts about Tesla’s ability to fund the operation have surfaced, the company’s CEO wants to be reassuring.

Elon Musk had announced earlier in the day that his $44 billion takeover project was on hold pending clarification of the number of fake accounts and spam.

Twitter’s stock, which had plummeted following the suspension announcement, pared some of its losses in electronic trading before Wall Street opened, but still lost about 11%.

According to Susannah Streeter, market analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, the percentage of fake accounts is “a key indicator” for Twitter because “calculating the precise number of people who actually tweet is considered crucial for future revenue streams through advertising or paid subscriptions on the site.”

Twitter аnnounced in eаrly Mаy, during the presentаtion of its quаrterly results, thаt it hаd 229 million dаily users who were monetizаble, or exposed to аdvertising, on аverаge from Jаnuаry to Mаrch. On this occаsion, she estimаted thаt less thаn 5% of them were spаm or fаke аccounts.
